Waxing and waning of powerful hormones
The female hormonal system is a network of intricate signalling pathways that are controlled by the hypothalamus in the brain. This control system instructs the waxing and waning of powerful hormone messengers that maintain the cyclical motion of a women’s monthly cycle. Many things throughout a women’s life can influence this delicate dance and sometimes impact their quality of life.
I enjoy working with women to help them understand their hormone health. As women transition from fertile years towards peri/menopause, their bodies and hormones may require different fuel sources from foods. I can help them to identify what is good for them. Of course, other factors within our lives can also contribute towards hormone imbalance. Together, we try to identify the things that are draining energy and work on self-compassion and self-care to support mind, body and soul.
